Park and Ride

Park and Ride facilities offer free and easy parking, and have frequent and fast public transport connections to the city centre.

There are Park and Ride sites at several locations near and in Edinburgh, serving travellers from all directions.

All sites operate 24/7, except where noted.

Park and Ride sites usually provide:

  • secure and free car parking - you only pay for your transport fare
  • terminal building with CCTV and toilet facilities
  • use of bus only 'greenways' into Edinburgh City Centre, helping to reduce journey times

Access from the A7, just north of the A720 City Bypass. Frequent buses link the site to central Edinburgh via the Edinburgh BioQuarter.

Newcraighall (East) EH21 8RX Train, Bus Just off the A1 and accessed via Newcraighall Road. Trains run about twice an hour, taking 11 minutes to reach Waverley. Also served by buses.
Wallyford (East) EH21 8JX Train, Bus Just off the A199. Trains run about twice an hour, taking 11 minutes to reach Waverley. Also served by buses.
Ferrytoll (North) KY11 1HN Bus Access from the A90, at the Ferrytoll junction.
