Finding your way by bike

Edinburgh has a good network of cycling routes and off-road paths.

The cycling network in Edinburgh is made up of a mixture of the National Cycle Network (managed by Sustrans) and local Quiet Routes (managed by the City Council). These are all numbered and signposted using blue street signs throughout the city.

Journey planners

The CycleStreets and Cycle.Travel journey planners both provide excellent information for route planning.
